"Sometimes, incredible and complex beauty can be found in the least likely places. The night-blooming cereus cactus looks like a dead bush, but at nightfall only once, it reveals a magnificent white trumpet-shaped blossom that closes forever with the sunrise. As I have traveled along my path as a musician and teacher, I have discovered that the “goose-bump moments” of musical creation and learning bloom and pass as quickly as the night-blooming cereus, but are worth every bit of dedication and hard work to experience again and again."-Dr. Amy C.
