Work Experience

Prior to attending Pacific Lutheran University, I did not have any work experience. Soon after arriving, I applied for a position as a Front Desk Worker in Hong International Hall. I was offered a job and have been working at the front desk for about three months.

Recently I applied for a second job at PLU: a Red Carpet Club Host. This job includes giving tours to prospective students, hosting overnight stays with these students, and having lunch with students and their families. After completing a somewhat complex interview process, I was accepted for this position and will begin training in January 2009.

Both of my new jobs at PLU have and will continue to provide me with fantastic work experience. I understand many aspects of the hiring process that I had not previously gone through. My jobs as Front Desk Worker and Red Carpet Club Host have allowed me to develop skills that I will utilize in both my future careers and simply life in general.
