Academics

PLU states that their main goal is to prepare students for the future.  I entered this university to earn a degree in business, so I knew what courses I needed to take in order to achieve my goal.

However, PLU doesn't let you focus solely on your specialized courses; they have multiple general requirements that encourage students to get a little taste of everything before they zero in on their intended major.  At first it may seem a tad frustrating, after all not many people are completely excited about taking classes they've never heard of or are genuinely not interested in.  That was my initial view, but it quickly changed.  Although there are still some classes that are definitely not my dream come true, I've already found new subjects that I'm interested in- and never would have tried without the GUR system.  I even discovered my deep interest in psychology, which I chose to be my minor after taking the GUR required PSYC101 course.

This portion of my portfolios and its attached pages are currently under construction.  Thank you for your patience.
