Educational PhilosophyA true education involves educating the mind as well as the body. All students have the right to a be active people. It is our duty as Physical Educators to give students the skills and knowledge they need to be able to participate in physical activity in their daily lives. I believe that physical education should be fun, highly active, and challenging. I am committed to making my classes packed full of activity time, yet still getting students to understand the "why" in physical education. It is my passion to get across to kids just how fun physical activity can be. Whether it is outdoor activities, team sports, individual sports, or anything in between, I believe that there is a physical activity that everyone can find fun. I hope to help kids find and pursue their passion for whatever activity they may choose. I also have a passion for healthy living. It is our duty as educators to give students accurate information about the health benefits of physical activity. Physical activity should be part of everyone's daily life and I believe kids need to learn this from a young age. Finally, it is my job promote life long fitness to our youth. Fitness should be something that people of all ages can enjoy. A healthier America starts with educating our youth now.
