Kelsey Lynn's Profile

Evidence-Based Care

Program Outcome:

Provide evidence-based clinically competent care

clinical group

Evidence of Clinically Competent Care:

» In my Nursing 220 clinical rotation, we spent some time in a long term care facility. I was able to provide clinically competent care to a few clients. However, this was not evidence-based care. I do believe that I will soon be learning and practicing evidence-based care. I did learn some abilities such as therapeutic conversation while participating in clinicals. Please see my link to Nursing 220 to learn more about my experience.

» This is the first semester that PLU has instated a new program with heart failure clients through MultiCare Heart and Vascular Centers. This gives us a hands on opportunity to practice skills learned in Nursing 270, Nursing Assessment and Promotion and to interact and build a professional relationship with a client. Please see my link to Heart Failure Client to learn more.

Future Classes:

I hope that these classes will deveope my knowlegde of evidense based care and how to apply it into practice. As I continue my education and clinicals, I hope to tone and deveope the abilllty to do this in any situation.
