Term Care FacilityI worked at Tacoma Lutheran Long Term Care Facility for approximately six weeks during my semester of Nursing 220. During this time I had three clients. Unfortunately, I had two clients pass while I was there. My last client was a spitfire lady who loved to play rummy. This experience was my first experience in a health care facility and believe me, I was really scared and overwhelmed at first. Not only did I learn how a facility works but was able to use and practice some skills I acquired in lab on giving basic care. Please see my links to read papers about my experiences. |

Future goals: I hope that I can expand on this experience with other clinicals, and learn to incorporate new skills as well as provide evidence based care.
