My Professional Practices » My first evidence of professional practice was my submission of health requirements before starting the nursing program. Immunizations and CPR certification were included among these. These will continue to be updated every year. » In Nursing 220 (Nursing Competences I), I completed HIPPA training as well as 7 hours of AIDS education and training. » I also plan on using my ATI scores and results to further understand my areas of weakness and my strengths. Testing, such as the ATI, is a professional way to assess personal growth and a resource that I hope to continue to use during this program. » When entering the nursing program, each person is assigned an advisor. This is a great way to collaborate ideas and discuss problems during the nursing program, but also involve the advisor in my progress in becoming a nurse. This practice is important in the evolving of my professional practice skills. » In Nursing 260 (Professional Foundations I), I had a group project that included research, a paper and a presentation. A group contract was signed by all members and an evaluation of each memberships is to be completed by me before the end of the semester. Future Classes In Future classes, I hope to continue and further my understanding of professional practice.» NURS 499: Capstone: Nursing Synthesis » NURS 480 Professional Foundations II » NURS 420 Introduction to Leadership and Research Management |
