We are offering an RN Re-Entry into Practice program. This program combines self-directed independent study with supervised laboratory and clinical experience to bring nurses up-to-date on the latest care techniques. It is designed to provide nurses with an update of theoretical content and clinical practice needed to return to employment in nursing with adult medical surgical patients in either a long-term/extended or acute care setting. Nursing procedures common to adult (adolescent to elderly) acute and long-term care will be reviewed and practiced by participants in skill laboratory setting before beginning the clinical experience.
Pacific Lutheran University partners with Franciscan Health System and MultiCare Health System to
actively recruit and train registered nurses who have left the
workforce. If you are interested in employment with one of these
agencies please contact the
agency directly.
MultiCare Health System - Sandi Squires, (253) 403-1176
This program is presented in cooperation with health care facilities in
the South Puget Sound area. The clinical experience is open to persons
holding active Washington RN licenses without encumbrance or
disciplinary action. Participants who have been inactive in nursing
practice for more than three (3) years can expect to be assigned to
extended care facilities for a portion of the clinical experience.
