PRESENTERS
Janice Doyle, RN, MSN, NCSN, is the Lead Nurse for Bethel School District, Spanaway WA, and has been a school nurse since 1985. Ms. Doyle has been certified through this credentialing program. She is a Clinical Affiliate Faculty member of Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing, Tacoma, WA and teaches and coordinates the Introduction to School Nursing class as well as precepting graduate and undergraduate students. She is an instructor for several school nursing courses and has presented to school nurses in many states and at several national conferences. Janice currently serves as the National Association of School Nurses Director for the School Nurse Organization of Washington and is active in the specialty organization at the local, state and national level. She is the co-author and presenter of Managing School Emergencies I, II, and III for NASN and the lead author of Disaster Preparedness Guidelines for School Nurses and Disaster Preparedness Guidelines for School Nurses 2007.
Joyce L. Ells, RN, BSN, NCSN, is a School Nurse for the Tacoma Public Schools in Tacoma WA. She has been a school nurse for eleven years and currently serves a middle school and elementary school. Joyce received her NCSN credential in 2004. Before becoming a school nurse her experience includes office nurse for a local obstetrician/gynecologist and labor and delivery nurse with her certification as an Inpatient OB/GYN nurse. Joyce is a member of SNOW and NASN.
