RN Re-Entry Skills Review Laboratory

Fee:  $650.00

    This fast paced course combines on-line video skills modules and videotaped
    presentations with supervised laboratory practice to help nurses review skills and
    learn the latest care techniques.  Nursing procedures common to adult
    (adolescence to elderly) acute and long-term care will be reviewed and practiced
    by participants in a skill laboratory setting.  On-line video skills will be accessed
    via the internet prior to the on campus sessions.  During the on campus
    sessions participants will view videotaped study modules and practice skills with
    an instructor.



Sessions include:
    Basic Clinical Skills   
    Older Adult Health Assessment
    IV Skills
    Intermediate Medical Surgical Clinical Skills
    Resume Workshop
    Students’ Skills Demonstration

NOTE:  Participants are expected to view the on-line video skills modules prior to the scheduled on-campus sessions.  For participants without computer access to the internet PLU CNE may arrange access at PLU.  Please contact ccnl@plu.edu or 253-535-7683.

COURSE FEES AND CE CREDIT:
$ 650.00 for 25 contact hours

by noon on March 30, 2010. Please include a check for the course fee of $650.00 payable to PLU-CNE.

REFUND POLICY:
Registration fee, less $20.00 handling charge, will be refunded only upon written request received by noon, May 10, 2010. A full refund will be made for cancellations by the University when an enrollment limit is reached or for insufficient enrollment. PLU reserves the right to cancel any offering when registration is insufficient to meet requirements and to set limits for numbers of participants for optimum teaching/learning conditions.
