Clients with dementia can pose unique challenges.  Having a variety of tools at your disposal can help you make a meaningful difference in their lives as well as the lives of their families and caregivers.  Important tools you need include:  a solid understanding of dementia; a variety of therapeutic communication techniques and approaches; empathic behavioral strategies; creative problem-solving related to assessment and care planning; and an awareness of available community and support resources.  Whether you are looking to collect some brand new tools or sharpen some old ones, join us for an experience that is sure to energize you and expand your "toolbox" for providing meaningful, quality dementia care.
