Spanish for Health Care Providers
Thursdays, October 15 & 26, 2009, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Pacific Lutheran University
You, the healthcare provider, are the client’s partner in health care.
You must elicit the client’s symptoms, the client’s concerns, and the
client’s health history. After assuring the client, you must mutually
plan the care and motivate the client to move toward mutually
established goals. You need a common language in order to accomplish
these goals. This class is designed to give the non-Spanish speaker the
key phrases and words to allow you to provide care for Spanish speaking
clients. In class activities will include lecture, discussion, oral and
written practices and case studies.
