I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Pacific Lutheran University. I joined the faculty at PLU in 2007. Prior to this, I was on the faculty at Wake Forest University and Sonoma State University. My areas of specialty within sociology are families, quantitative research methods, race, and gender.
I have a PhD (2001) and MA (1997) in Sociology from the University of Washington in Seattle. I earned my BS (1994) in Sociology from Santa Clara University in California.
