teaching

My teaching philosophy engages students in the sociological enterprise by introducing them to theories and concepts, teaching them to interpret and evaluate empirical evidence, and encouraging them to apply this knowledge as students, community members, and citizens. My fundamental goal is for students to know sociology as a science that uses qualitative and quantitative data to understand social organization.
