Growing up in the same town my whole life I wasn't forced to move around like so many of my friends who's parents

were in the navy.  A lot of the time they have to start from the beginning with friends and learning a new school .

In high school my favorite class was wood shop where I got to work with my hands and actually determine what my

grade was going to look like.  It depended on whether I rushed and produced a poor quality product or if I take my time

and make a terrific piece of craftsmanship which was my standard that I always followed because what I produce is linked

to me and I do not want to be associated with a poor product.

My teacher took some of my products to shows and demonstrations of craftsmanship with wood tools and student

work.

The end of my sophomore year I got involved with the brand new leadership and orientation program our high school

was trying out. I was recognized by my teachers and staff at my high school as someone who would make a great leader

and role model for first year students at the high school.

My work experience consists of constant asking my family and friends in the

community for my help with their business or personal property doing any odd jobs they had around the house that they

didn't feel like doing.  Through this technique I learned how to network really well and efficiently.

Landscaping was a job I was asked to help out with because I was a young boy and had too much free time and

needed a few bucks. I mowed lawns, pulled weeds, laid bark and everything else in between with no complaints.

My dad owed a dog and cat grooming and kennel service business where during the holidays would get really busy

and I would come in for 8 hour days and every weekend i would maintain and keep up the kennel making sure all the

animals had food, water, clean bedding, and were cleaned up after.

Working on a farm is something I have been doing since I could milk a cow. I grew up on a 43 acre farm where I was in

charge of feeding calves that we had bought at market and they needed to be milked twice a day and have new bedding

a couple times a week.

Painting was a job that I started and worked in the summers that I picked up really quickly and was proficient with all

aspects of.

Being a handy man started when some older ladies from my church asked if I could do something for them, they liked

how I worked hard.  They told others about my work ethic, and that's when I started to get calls once in awhile to do

random jobs around peoples houses. The became my nonofficial first business through my networking.

House sitting is something I do off and on since 1999, having people trust me to stay in their house and watch it for

them while they are gone on vacation or any other reason for extended periods of time.

Working at a front desk is a job that I find very easy to do, directing calls, answering questions, and using my problem

solving skills to help people out along with my good people skills I am able to help people while creating a great image

for those customers or clients.

Serving has been one of my favorite jobs so far because the amount of people I interact with and how I get to help

them.  As a server I greet people at the front door, I seat them, take orders, bring food to the table, and also cash them

out.  Making sure people have a great time while at the resturant is always my goal with each individual customer that

comes in.
