Registration
begins during the summer before the
start of the school year. The beginning registration dates for
each decal type are posted above. Only one decal will be issued
per person, regardless of how many vehicles are registered. This
is done to prevent having vehicles 'stored' in the parking lots, taking
up spaces.
Ticketing generally begins the second week of class, although
warnings may be issued before then and flagrant violations can be ticketed at any time.
Parking on the PLU campus is by decal only. All members of
this community must register their vehicles with the Campus Safety
office within 48 hours of the vehicle being brought to campus. A
temporary pass may be obtained from the Campus Safety office. An
appropriate decal is issued upon registration. Because parking space is
at a premium on campus it is imperative that everyone parks in their
assigned area(s). Parking tickets are written to vehicles that are not
registered and for parking in reserved or unauthorized areas.
Registered decals are valid from opening day of the residence halls
until the final day of the academic year.
Costs for parking decals for the 2008-2009 year are: Faculty/Admin/Staff: Free, limited to one decal per employee
Resident/Commuter Students: $30
South Hall (S. Hall residents only): $105 year / $70 half year
Tingelstad Gated Lot: $165 year / $105 half year
Carpool
Carpool passes require that
all vehicles involved are registered. You can read more about it here.
Motorcycles are NOT required to register, but still need to follow parking rules and regulations.
S. Hall and Tingelstad Gated Lot decals allow parking only within their respective lots.
Freshman decals allow parking only in the Olson and Morken Lots.
