PLU Catholic Student Ministry Constitution I. Mission Statement A. To form a Catholic community on campus through which students can develop spiritually in their faith journey through service, fellowship and education. B. This community will be facilitated by the organization’s leadership. II. Goals A. Service- to take a positive and active role in both on and off campus communities through community service. B. Fellowship- To accomplish a sense of spiritual unity and support on our faith journey with the following activities 1. Mass Transportation 2. Social gatherings and outings 3. Retreats 4. Bible study 5. Rosary and other prayer sessions
1. To develop one’s personal faith by increasing awareness of the Catholic tradition 2. Reflection on current issues as they relate to Catholic theology. This will be accomplished through the following activities 3. Activities a. Speakers b. Workshops c. Bible Studies d. Seminars e. Educational outings f. Dialogues on current issues III. Leadership A. Advisor 1. To be an educational resource 2. To provide an objective view of leadership interaction 3. Theological mentor 4. Connection with school administration 5. Expected to be involved with leadership meetings and in some club activities (as their schedule permits). 1. To promote organization in the club 2. To take meeting minutes at the leadership meetings and to email them to the leadership team, the advisor and the archdiocese. 3. To email or call the club members to update them on meetings and mass times. 4. To serve as a contact to various outside people (archdiocese,
1. Maintain a standardized record of all expenditures and incomes 2. Maintain a standardized balance updated every two months 3. Be an advisor for the officers in the consideration of cost for projected activities through out the year 4. To save all written information and records on soft disk for the sake of new officers to succeed the office of treasurer
1. Maintenance of CSM homepage once a week b. Updating Catholic links when needed c. Updating constitution when needed d. Major ministry events ii. Ministry meeting times and places b. Activating members c. Posting documents once a month for discussion |
