Spirit of Diversity Awards

Each year, the student Diversity Advocates have the opportunity to nominate two faculty, two administrators/staff and two students who have been especially visible, empowering, advocating and supportive to the diverse individuals on our campus during this academic year. The Spirit of Diversity Awards are our students’ way to say “Thanks” to members of our community who are committed to making the PLU environment welcoming and respectful for all of us. The Diversity Advocates Awards ceremony is held in early May and the whole campus is welcomed to attend the festivities.

The Diversity Center strives to promote cultural, educational, and social activities for our students. However, we don’t stop at race and ethnicity. The D Center is committed to celebrating our religious, sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status, physical ability, age, geographic location, appearance, etc diversity that each and everyone of us possess.
