Eastvold: A Campus Crossroads
The Eastvold restoration and expansion project is the next capital project that will be undertaken by the university.

There are grand plans in store to return Eastvold to its full glory, to return it in every way to its rightful place both as the literal and the figurative heart of campus.
The project to restore and expand Eastvold will bring Pacific Lutheran University closer to each of those goals.
-
Enhancements to facilities for instruction in the Division of Humanities (English, languages and literatures, philosophy, and religion) will bring faculty and students together in powerful new ways that will have a profound influence on teaching and learning.
-
New and refurbished spaces for the performing arts will greatly enhance learning and performing opportunities for students in theater, music and dance and will improve the experience of all audiences over the full range of arts and events.
-
Tower Chapel, long a special place in the hearts of students, will continue to be a place for prayer and reflection and will become an even greater spiritual sanctuary for campus ministry outreach.
The Eastvold restoration and expansion is a complex and multifaceted approach to ensuring that the facility retains its role as a campus crossroads. Within the project there are opportunities on many levels to make a real difference in enhancing the mission of the university, in supporting truly dedicated faculty, in changing the lives of generations of students, and in making a significant contribution to society as our bright and talented students become the leaders of tomorrow.
