Tower Chapel: The Heart of Campus
Through the restoration of Eastvold Hall, Tower Chapel will once again be the true heart of the campus.
Help restore the Chapel
Always open for worship
Tower Chapel has always been a place to gather for prayer and renewal. Now this sacred space at the heart of campus will be more accessible, welcoming the PLU community to celebrate and worship. Tower Chapel will have a dramatic entrance, inviting all who pass to enter, and the outdoor balcony will become the Chapel Terrace. From the new chapel floor you will be able to look up one story to the Rose Window, which was adopted as a new logo for Pacific Lutheran University the fall of 1975.
Why revitalize the Tower Chapel? What will the Tower Chapel provide?
When revitalized, a new grand entrance will allow Tower Chapel to be
accessible to the PLU community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The
chapel will have a balcony to provide space for choir or overflow
seating and will include a narthex, sacristy and an alcove for the
historic pipe organ, which will be rehabilitated.
Campus Ministry and student religious clubs will have a brighter, more comfortable space to meet and worship.
