About the Grants

The Northwest Academic Computing Consortium (NWACC), of which PLU is a member, has announced its annual grants program to underwrite innovative uses of instructional technology.  Below is a general program description.  More information is available from the NWACC website at


If you have in mind or are in the early stages of developing an instructional technology project of the sort described below, and wish to compete for up to $10,000 in support of your effort, please contact me directly so I might assist you with an application.  The deadline for
submitting proposals is February 22, 2008.

The project Scaffolding active programming instruction with theoretically grounded screencasts and annotated worked examples was developed to scaffold in-class programming exercises. As of Spring 2009, twelve 20 minute vodcasts have been produced.
