Nursing

stethoscopeNursing is holistic patient-centered care. Nursing is a want for better. Nursing incorporates patients, families, and communities for health promotion, prevention of illness and care of people in need.



Program Outcomes

1. Demonstrate the ability to incorporate the dimensions of person, nursing, and enviornment to promote health in a variety of nursing situations.

2. Provide evidence-based clinically competent care.

3. Enact the role of service as a professionally educated member of society.

4. Apply the nursing process in the provision of direct and indirect care of individuals, families, and communities in a variety of settings and across diverse populations.

5. Collaborate in the design, management, and coordination of care.

6. Assume responsibility and accountability for professional practice.

7. Participate in processes to influence the health care delivery system.

Goals:

One year goal: In a year from now I look forward to successfully be heading into my senior year in nursing school. I will to be part of Delta Iota Chi as well as continuing to work as a Nurse Technician.

Five year goal: In five years from now I look foward to being employed as a nurse for a while. I also hope to be getting married and/or starting a family and continue my work with animals.
