Why Nursing?

I remember the first time that I knew that healing was my calling.  One day, when I was a little girl, my dad cut his finger with a kitchen knife.  He asked for my help.  There was blood gushing everywhere!  But he let me figure out how to fix the problem.   At the time, the only thing I knew to cure a cut was a Band-Aid.  His cut was 3/4 of an inch long and every Band-Aid I tacked on would dribble off.  But he was patient with me and let me try about three times before finally wrapping it with a towel and taking me with him to the emergency room.  I remember how much I cared to make him better, and my dad gave me the chance to try.  This was the beginning of my journey to nursing.
