Ethical and Professional Conduct

It is often assumed that businesses see profit as their only goal; that ethics have no place in the world of business. With recent scandals,  such as Enron, this idea has only been reiterated in the minds of many people. Personally, I feel that businesses have an obligation to always act ethically and professionally. Our morals and values encompass and huge portion of who we are as people. When we compromise what we believe in, we are compromising ourselves.  This is true not only for individuals, but for organizations as well. Companies need to have a code of ethics that guides everything that they do. Ultimately, I feel a business who act professionally and ethically will become more prosperous in the end.
