Pack Forest Field Trip

Old Growth at Pack

Pack Forest Field Trip

Each Spring, Economics 311 makes its annual field trip to the Charles Pack Experimental Forest near Eatonville.  Attendance on this field trip is mandatory so make arrangements early.  The date for this informative and topically focused excursion - a perennial favorite with students - is Thursday, May 7 during our regular class time.

Center for Sustainable Forestry

In May of 2004, the Dean of the University of Washington's College of Forest Resources announced the formation of the Center for Sustainable Forestry.  The Center's mission is to:

"...actively advance the concept and practice of sustainability, guided by the strategic themes of the College, engaging resource scientists, professionals, policy makers and communities."
