Nominees and winners selected by attendees of Bouchercon World Mystery Convention. Award named for the late Anthony Boucher (William Anthony  Parker White), well-known writer, critic, and fan of the mystery genre. The award is usually in the form of a dagger stabbing a black book, with "Anthony Award" written in black on the resultant bloodstain, all mounted on a wooden   plaque engraved with the winner's name, year, and winning title. The dagger is  removable to be used as a letter opener.

Arthur Ellis Awards



 
Presented by the Crime Writers of Canada, the Arthur Ellis Awards honour the best works published by Canadian authors during the previous year. The  award is named for the nom de travail of Canada's official hangman. The statuette consists of a wooden gallows with a puppet suspended from it. If you  pull the cord attached to the puppet it "dances" on the rope...

The Crime Writers' Association of Australia established the Ned Kelly Awards in 1996. They are named for a notorious Australian outlaw of the 19th century, and affectionately called the Neddies.
