The University Scholars Association provides a lunch service for its members. Lunch is served daily
during the school year, Monday through Friday (except holidays and school closures). Lunch is served from
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Our especially capable soup cook, Sally Bedard,
has agreed to return again this year.
Unfortunately, we have been having a problem with non-members taking advantage
of our economical lunch prices. The USA Board has decided to give Sally
a list of members and she
will be checking folks off for the first few weeks until she gets a feel for
who’s a member and who is not. Those folks who are not members will be charged
a $1.50 surcharge if they purchase lunch unless they fill-out a membership form
that day. For those folks who come in as the guest of another member, they will
not be charged that surcharge for their lunch.
The lunch menu consists of homemade soup, a variety of meat and vegetarian sandwiches, chips, salad,
yogurt, and cookies. To see the menu and prices click on the navigation

Every month a calendar will show you the soups being offered daily.
Sally's soup calendar is highly reliable. However, she does reserve the right to change the
soup of the day, depending on the availability of ingredients, special
requests, and other contingencies. You are welcome to request a specific soup for a specific
day with a two week advance notice. Most requests can be honored.
If you are running late and would like lunch, you may call the Faculty House at 535-7343, and have a bowl of soup
or a sandwich reserved for you.
