Biography

Melissa Franke


Melissa graduated from Willamette University in May 1996 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Rhetoric & Media Studies.  She hung around Willamette for a few years to play in the world of forensics before heading to Chapel Hill, NC to study for a M.A. in communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Back to the west coast in 2002, Melissa studied at the Annenberg School for Communication and is currently finishing her doctoral dissertation about the cultural and political narratives we have in the U.S. about Cuba.
