Research interests:
Metamorphic petrology, mineral chemistry and microstructure, structural geology and tectonics. Current investigations include crustal cycling within subduction zones based on exposures in west-central Turkey, the timing of mesoproterozoic mid-crustal pluton emplacement and metamorphism in New Mexico, and erosional influence on exhumation in orogenic wedge environments through analogue experiment. Also interested in energy resource issues, as well as geoscience education.
