PLU Student Health Insurance Plan »


Beginning in Fall 2007, all full-time undergraduate students will be automatically enrolled in the PLU Student Health Insurance Plan. It will provide coverage for office visits, prescriptions, emergency treatment and hospitalization.

We are located on the NE corner of campus at the intersection of 121st and Park Ave.  The Mortvedt Library is directly across the street.



When?

Monday - Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
(Closed for lunch 12:30pm to 1:30pm)

How? »

To schedule an appointment you can call us at (253) 535-7337. To save yourself time and frustration please do not drop in for an appointment. You can always speak to a provider by phone and may find you don't really need an appointment. Call ahead for medication refills. You can also contact us by email at health@plu.edu with questions. We cannot make appointments via email.You can FAX us at (253) 536-5042 if you need to send records or paperwork.

Do you have a question you would like to ask anonymously, or feel would be of interest to others?  Ask Dr. Lute by dropping a question in the box at the Student Health Center or e-mailing the good doctor at health @ plu.edu.  Then check Dr. Lute's page for the answers.

Is it a cold or the flu?  And what should I do?

Influenza (or the "flu") is caused by a strain of the influenza virus.  Colds are caused by an assortment of viruses including rhinoviruses, echoviruses and coxsackieviruses.
