Lifeguard - PLU Swimming Pool

Non-Exempt; $11.00+ per hr, DOE

Work Schedule

PT; Summer position (June – August); days and hours will vary, Monday thru Saturday.

General Description

Lifeguard at the PLU swimming pool, including both recreational and adult lap swimming.  Reports to Pool Supervisor.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  1. Must be age 18 or older.
  2. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.
  3. Current First Aid and CPR training or equivalent.
  4. Must pass PLU lifeguard test.
  5. Finalist candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background checks.

Application Procedure
  1. Fill out job application.
  2. Contact the Pool Supervisor (contact information provided below) for dates/times to take the PLU lifeguard test.
  3. Bring your completed application form, certification cards, suit and towel to lifeguard test at the pool.
  4. If you are hired, you will be required to attend a staff training session at the pool.
