Assistant Professor, full-time, tenure track position; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience + benefits package.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate should be a generalist
qualified to teach introduction to sociology, social inequality, theory
(classical and contemporary), and additional courses that broaden and
complement existing departmental course offerings.
- Opportunities also
exist for faculty to participate in courses in the first-year
experience program, women’s and gender studies, global education, or
other interdisciplinary programs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in sociology preferred, although applications from ABD candidates will be considered.
- Commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate level is required.
