FT; Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm; occasional evening and weekend work is also required.

General Description

The Director provides leadership for the Center for Public Service and offers training and support to faculty in development of academic service learning. The Director develops the Center’s mission, oversees the Center’s programs, and facilitates collaboration across campus that forwards the University’s mission to educate students for lives of inquiry, service, leadership and care.  The Director promotes the Center’s engagement in community partnerships that serve the community’s needs.

Required Qualifications
  1. Master’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related field.
  2. Three years experience working in a university setting with academic service-learning.  (One year of graduate study emphasizing service-learning may substitute for two years of experience.)
  3. Two years experience working with community nonprofit service organizations.
  4. Finalist candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check.
