I am a nursing student at Pacific Lutheran University currently
completing my Sophomore II nursing classes: Health Promotion &
Assessment (N270), Pathophysiology (N280), and Nursing Foundations I
(N260).
I currently work as a caregiver in a Alzheimer and Dementia care facility.
Between
work and school I have been challenged mentally and physically. I enjoy
each new opportunity to learn and grow. I look forward to new
challenges offered between my education and career. My decision to
enter nursing was highly influenced by my experience in labor and
delivery of my son. I decided I wanted to work in a place that took
cared not only for the individual, but the whole family, too. One of
the things that attracted me to PLU's School of Nursing program as its
holistic approach to patient care. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest,
so I found it wonderful to be able to go to school in a place where I
had a huge amount of support from family.
