[LOGO] Setting Up A Course Website

Collaborative Activities

This is an example page of potential collaborative activities. You could post lists of class members and have them submit group project proposals via interactive forms. This would also be an area where you might showcase group projects on the web.

Collaboratively Evaluate a Web Site

Objective: Develop collaborative skills while evaluating a course web site.

Select a partner or group to work with. Select from these sites or search the web with these tools. Use the evaluation form to submit your review. Eventually we could post your reviews here or on a summary page.

Collaboratively Select Resources and List Them on a Web Page

Objective: Develop collaborative skills while selecting and evaluating web resources.

Select a partner or group to work with. Search the web with these tools. Make a web page that summarizes the links you find. You may want to refer to the HTML Primer page and Addresses, URLs and Links.

Collaboratively Develop a Web Page

Objective: Develop collaborative skills while developing a web page.

Select a partner or group to work with. Use the Web Page Production Cycle model to identify the steps involved. Develop a division of labor among members of your group to divide and conquer the production process. You might specialize as writer, net surfer, HTML coder, image capturer, etc. Work collaboratively to develop goals, then specialize in the production phases. Your product will be one web page. If you dare, we can post a link to your page here for the workshop participants to evaluate ;-)
