Tools Needed for
Ethernet Access to the
Campus Network |
If you have ethernet access via an RJ-45 ethernet jack (full ethernet
connection) you will need...
- A computer with an ethernet board or transceiver box
- An RJ-45 cable to connect your ethernet board or transceiver to
the wall jack
- TCP/IP networking software installed on your computer

Workstations in
the Library |
The library has two workstations in the Reference area that have access
to internet for graphic web browsing via Netscape. All computers
in the Language Resource Center have Netscape.
A limited number of workstations provide web page production tools. These
include:
- Language Resource Center Presentation Macintosh #1
- Hardware: HP ScanJet flatbed scanner, sound and video
capture
- Software: PhotoShop and PhotoDeluxe imaging
software, OmniScan Lite optical character recognition (OCR)
software, PowerPoint presentation software, Word word
processor, and VideoShop movie software.
