The U.S.
Supreme Court has played its part in the conservative reaction to activists
government, along with the other branches. What was its role in this movement?
Where are we now with the Court. What has been its contributions to governance
in the years 1971 to the present? What can we expect over the next decade or
two? This session explores these questions and others that participants might
raise.
Dr. Sid Olufs has been asked to return as a LIFE instructor after
positive feedback from a class he presented on the presidency last year. He has
been teaching political science at PLU since 1982. He did his undergraduate
studies at U. of Washington and his Masters and PhD degrees from Pennsylvania
State University. Dr. Olufs has served
on numerous boards of political science
associations. He has published books and articles on a variety of political
issues. Dr. Olufs is a student and a teacher of tai chi.
