Guide for typing accents using the ALT key

Language Resource Center - PLU

Note: Each accented letter is achieved by holding down the ALT key and then pressing each of the number keys in sequence. Use the number keys on the keypad on the right of your keyboard. Do not hold down the numbers keys - only press them one after the other while keeping the ALT key held down. These key sequences work in most all programs, including on-line programs, so if you are having trouble using other key sequences in Word or other programs, try these!
