Regular Summer Hours:
Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-3:00pm

The Language Resource Center is located on the third floor of the Mortvedt Library. The Language Resource Center features a large collection of multimedia programs for language students. Currently the center is equipped with 11 PC workstations, 5 iMac workstations with DVD players, CD/cassette players, laserdisc players, and TV/VCR combos, including a multistandard VCR. The LRC has both live and recorded access to international news broadcasts via SCOLA.  Stop by to watch a recording of recent news from China, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, and more.  For more information on accessing SCOLA on campus, click here.

The LRC supports the Department of Languages and Literatures' policy on the use of machine translation. Please read carefully this policy at: http://www.plu.edu/~lrc/mt.html.

Student consultants are available during normal operating hours to assist with the software and equipment. All of our consultants are proficient in at least one of the languages taught at PLU, and they are available to help with language questions and conversation practice.
