The youngest of seven children, I learned a lot about hard work and dedication at a young age. I worked hard to stand out from the crowd in my family, in athletics, and as a sailor in the U.S. Navy.
I am looking forward to graduating with my BSN from PLU and being commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. College life has been a nice change from the submarine, and I have taken full advantage of being a student at PLU. I started on the kickoff team on PLU's football team during the Fall of Sophmore year and threw the javelin for PLU's track and field team. When I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 children, running, biking, and making home improvements.
