Body Image, Obesity and Health

Understaning the impact of body image on the health and well being of girls and women is a long standing passion of professor McConnell.  Over the years she has given numerous presentations and has authored book chapters and articles on related issues.

Supporting Healthy Students and Athletes

College is a time of high expectations, self-discovery and uncertainty about the future.  Many of the stresses of college life are confounded by the demands of athletic participation.  Providing guidance for all students around issues of healthy eating, exercise habits, alcohol consumption and other health related issues is central to Dr. McConnell's approach and philosophy as a university faculty member.
