Welcome To My Home Page

I’m glad you dropped by

My name is Alyssa Mehl, and I am a non-traditional student at Pacific Lutheran University, having begun my Junior year in the Spring 2009 semester at PLU’s School of Business.  My declared major is Business Management and Human Resources, and I am having a blast working toward my degree.

These pages are intended to detail my professional development including highlights of my education, experience, and abilities.  They are also designed to give you a glimpse into my personality, and an idea of my interests and the organizations I participate in

Please take a few moments to look around and get to know a little about me.  And if you have any questions or need more information, please send me an email.

If you are a potential employer, please identify yourself as such, and I will make sure to provide you with additional contact info in my reply.

Goals

Objectives

· I am working toward obtaining a B.A. in business, and am striving to keep my GPA above 3.5.

· My projected graduation date is Spring 2011, however I am working toward finishing early—possibly as early as August 2010—though that depends entirely on class availability.

· I would like the opportunity to gain experience as a job placement specialist or recruiter, or as an administrative assistant to one.

· I would like to participate in a Study Abroad program before graduation.

· To continue to learn from every available opportunity, and to seek out opportunity whenever possible.

· To, upon graduation, seek full-time employment in the field of Human Resources in a position of increasing responsibility that includes job placement activities, employee management and/or benefits administration in the for– or not-for-profit sector.

Or

· To consider, develop, and grow a new business venture from scratch.

Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.
