Profile

I am currently a senior at PLU and majoring in Business Administration.  I am opting for a non-concentration option but my coursework at PLU includes accounting and finance courses.  I am originally from Pakistan and I have lived in the United States since 1992. In 1999, after graduating from Montesano High School, I joined the Washington State Army National Guard and served for nine years.  I was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and was stationed in Iraq for 18 months.  My military occupation was in the medical field as a combat medic.   My experiences in the military allowed me to acquire many skills and my experience allowed me to develop many personal skills and attributes.   In my free time I like to snowboard, read, travel and spend time with my family and friends.

Current standing and Goals

My current goals are to attend medical school after completing my BBA here at PLU.  I completed my science requirements at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, WA.  Over the last two years, I have completed two years of chemistry, one year of calculus and differential equations,  and one year of physics.  I have also taken several other university requirements for graduation.  For my two years here at PLU, I plan to study accounting and finance.  I will apply to the business program at the end of the semester and hope to finish in the next two years.  My previous course work has been posted in the coursework section of this website, please feel free to browse.  I am a junior at PLU.  I am studying Finance and Accounting and I possess an Associates of Science degree from Grays Harbor College.  My current goal is to attend medical school after graduation.  You might ask why I am studying business at PLU?  To answer this question, I have posted a personal reflection in the profile page.  Please feel free to browse.
