Simulated SAT Math


Test measuring competency in mathematical concepts.

Individual Entries ONLY


Overview

Students will take an SAT Math exam that measures competency in mathematical concepts.  The test on MESA Day will differ from the actual SAT exam in two ways:  scoring and length.


Materials

The following materials will be provided by MESA:

•    Test Booklet
•    #2 Pencils
•    Scantron Answer Sheets


Rules

  1. Students will compete with peers from the same grade level.
  2. Questions will be administered in the following format:  30 minutes to answer
    approximately 30 questions.
  3. Questions are identical to previous SAT exams.  Algebra and logic are main components.


Judging

  1. Students will earn one point for each correct answer.
  2. There is no penalty for incorrect answers—guessing encouraged.
  3. In the event of a tie, multiple awards will be given.


Awards

Awards are given for 1st place for each grade level (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th).
