Incremental analysis Questions: Making Routine and Not-so-routine Decisions

This series of daily applications deals with a number of short run decisions, so the focus is on incremental costs and incremental revenues. The table below summarizes the questions addressed in this section.

What to do about that special request from Everett? Can Charlie make money on the deal? What additional considerations are involved?

The lumber yard has material on sale that is lower quality than Charlie usually buys. Is it worth it?
The unfinished furniture shop: a local retailer that sells unfinished furniture has offered to take some of Charlie's chairs fully assembled, but otherwise unfinished. Customers could then have the fun of finishing the chairs themselves. However, the sales price would be lower. What should Charlie do?
