A little information about me
Hi, my name is Anne Mioni and as of right now, I am currently a graduate nurse from Pacific Lutheran University. Resume
I never really thought about being a nurse until the day my little cousin Alicia was born. Born seven weeks prematurely, she fought for weeks to hold on to her life and thankfully was successful in her battle. What turned me towards nursing was the feeling I got when looking at her in the incubator and knowing that I could not do anything to help her. I watched as the nurses came in and out of our area in the NICU and I wanted to be one of those nurses. I wanted to help people in their most desperate hour. What better way to show compassion and provide much needed health care than that as a nurse?
I was born in Bremerton, Washington and lived in the small town of Port Orchard my whole life up until college. I am defiantly a Puget Sound girl having lived near water ever since I can remember. My mother Mary and my father James did everything for my sisters, Rachel, Catherine, and I so that we would get the education that they always dreamed of. Unfortunately, when I was 9, my mother died and it temporarily tore my family apart. I am happy to say that we are a family once again and not only closer emotionally but some of the strongest people you will ever meet. I went to high school at South Kitsap High School where I graduated in 2006
I am a first generation college student and I follow in my two sister's footsteps in getting a college degree. I am however, the first person in my family to be earning a degree in the field of health care and the first member of my family to be a nurse. I give a great amount of thanks to my father and my sisters for helping me along the way and pushing me to be the best that I can be! I can never thank them enough for all the pushing, prodding and hair pulling they did to make me the successful woman I am today. I also give great thanks to my fiance, Daniel. He made many scarifies to be with a nursing student who was stressed out and frustrated most of the time. Never did he question my abilities as a nurse or as a human being and I am grateful for the love and support he has shown me.
Strength, Honor, Heart, I am a Pacific Lutheran University Nurse
