Elizabeth Anderson '10
Journalism
A Business major with an emphasis in Finance, Liz is also an accomplished writer whose work has appeared in the Peninsula Gateway, the Puyallup Herald, Tacoma Weekly, Scene magazine, and other publications. Liz also serves as MediaLab's Business Strategy Committee, a group of students and faculty charged with steering the organization's growth.
Christine Boire '10
Public Relations
Christine joined MediaLab in the Fall of 2009. She is a communication major,also pursuing a minor in marketing. Currently, Christine works with PBS's Independent Television Service (ITVS) to bring monthly screenings of originally produced documentaries to the Tacoma community. She is also responsible for planning and coordinating the on-campus premiere of MediaLab’s 2008 Emmy-award winning documentary, "Illicit Exchanges."
Tiffany Brown '11
Marketing
Tiffany, who became a member of MediaLab in Spring 2009, is a Marketing Associate and the organization's chief recruiter. A Business major with a marketing concentration, Tiffany spent Summer 2009 overseeing media operations and administration for a Portland advertising agency.
Melissa Ann Campbell '10
Video
A Communication major, Melissa served as senior producer on "Illicit Exchanges: Canada, the U.S. & Crime," the original MediaLab documentary that won a 2009 College Division Emmy Award. In 2008, Melissa was the recipient of a National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Northwest Chapter scholarship award, which aims to sustain promising students in their pursuit of and studies for careers in broadcasting. Melissa also worked as a Summer 2009 intern at KDRV-TV, an Emmy Award winning ABC-TV affiliate station in Southern Oregon.
Ashley Coats '10
Journalism Team Leader
Ashley is a former news editor and sports editor for PLU's student newspaper, The Mast. After joining MediaLab in Spring 2008, Ashley won a prestigious Washington Newspaper Publishers Association Scholarship/Internship, which consisted of a paid, full-time internship at the Peninsula Gateway during summer 2008. Ashley is a Communication major whose emphasis is in Journalism.
Holly Dunning
Graphic Design
Holly joined MediaLab in Sprint 2009 and made an immediate impact. She was the main designer for "The Point of Entry" Documentary and is never afraid to jump into any project. Holly is a student member of AIGA, the national professional association for design.
Andriana Fletcher '10
Video Team Leader
Andriana, a Communication major who intends to pursue a career in broadcasting, joined MediaLab in Fall 2009. In addition to holding the position of assistant general manager of KCNS, PLU's student television station, Andriana has produced videos for the Tacoma Art Museum and the Lakeview Church of Christ. Andriana is also a member of MediaLab's elite multi-media research team, which is working on a new documentary comparing Canadian and U.S. immigration policies.

Graphic Design & Brand Manager
Chad Hall, a Communication major who is pursuing minors is Studio Art and French, joined MediaLab in Fall 2008. Chad is the lead designer on the upcoming "A Hard Trade" documentary, a project that will include creation of all messaging associated with the film and the May 2, 2009 public premiere. Chad also is a member of PLU's crew team.

Previously a volunteer at PLU’s student television station KCNS-TV, Elizabeth joined MediaLab in the Fall of 2008. She has produced videos for the Tacoma Art Museum, as well as worked on a pilot TV show for possible broadcast on the local PBS-affiliate station, KBTC-TV in Tacoma.

Assistant General Manager
Hilary joined MediaLab in Fall 2008 and immediately became involved in a broad range of activities. Hilary's duties include helping in the day-to-day operations of MediaLab, recruiting new students, and assisting in the production of a new Canada/U.S immigration comparison documentary. Hilary also worked over Summer 2009 as a Public Relations and Marketing intern for YMCA of Tacoma-Pierce County.
Caitlyn Hoerr '11
Public Relations
Caitlyn, a communication major with an emphasis in Public Relations, joined MediaLab in Fall 2009. A Spring 2009 recipient of PLU's New Scholar in Communication award, Caitlyn has helped with media relations, promoting and planning for The D.A.S.H. Center, a local performing arts school on Tacoma's Hilltop. In summer 2008, Caitlyn worked as an intern on Intel's World Wide Marketing team. Caitlyn also is a member of PLU's women's tennis team.
Kelcy Joynt '10
Public Relations
Kelcy, a senior Communication major with an emphasis in Public Relations, became a MediaLab member in Fall 2009. Prior to joining MediaLab, Kelcy worked as a communication intern for the City of Boulder, Colo. Kelcy also worked as a marketing intern during Spring 2009 for the Physical Therapy Association of Washington in Olympia. A student-athlete, Kelcy is a fourth-year member of Pacific Lutheran University's women's volleyball team.

Journalism
Ellen, a Communication major with an emphasis in Journalism, joined MediaLab in Spring 2009. She has produced videos for The News Tribune website and for PLU's University Communications. In summer 2009, Ellen held a print internship at The Olympian, and in Fall 2009, she is serving as news producer for PLU’s student television station, KCNS-TV.

Kaelen, a member of MediaLab since Fall 2008, has produced videos for the Tacoma Art Museum, the Lakeview Church of Christ, and leads the team of students producing a pilot TV show for possible broadcast on KBTC-TV, Tacoma’s PBS affiliate. A PLU Art major, Aubrey joined MediaLab in Fall 2008 and made an immediate impact. She helped lead the overhaul of MediaLab’s web site. She also is responsible for MediaLab’s branding and image. Aubrey, who interned at Eastside Foursquare Church in Bothell, Washington in the Summer of 2008 & 2009, is a student member of AIGA, the national professional association for design.
Kelsey M. Liddle '10
General Manager 2009-'10
Kelsey is double majoring in Communication and Global Studies, with a minor in Spanish. A two-year member of MediaLab, Kelsey's writing has been published in several local media outlets, including South Sound and 425 magazines, the Puyallup Herald, and Scene magazine. Kelsey also has shot freelance video for The News Tribune and Seattle Post-Intelligencer websites, was a key planner of the 2007 "ALCAN Building Connections" documentary premiere, and is a member of the elite multi-media research team currently producing MediaLab's next documentary, which will premiere in Fall 2009. Kelsey has been named MediaLab's General Manager for 2009-10.
Abby Mitchel '10
Public Relations
Abby is a Communication major with an emphasis in public relations and advertising, and a Psychology minor. Abby has worked with several non-profit organizations such as The Helping Hand House in Puyallup, the YWCA, and the D.A.S.H. Center for the Performing Arts, both located in Tacoma, Abby's expertise is in media relations and public relations campaign development. Abby's portfolio also includes service as coordinator of PLU’s 2010 Annual SOAC Week, which celebrates the School of Arts and Communication at Pacific Lutheran University.

Video
Thomas joined MediaLab in the Fall of 2008. His contributions to-date include video credits on “A Hard Trade,” a Tacoma Art Museum promotional video, and a pilot program that may air on Tacoma PBS affiliate KBTC-TV.

Journalism
Stephen joined MediaLab in Spring 2008. A Communication major with a minor in French, Stephen's work has been published in the Peninsula Gateway, and he has helped produced videos for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer website. Stephen is also a four-year member of PLU's men's varsity soccer team.

Kirsten, Communication major, joined MediaLab in Fall 2009, and leads the team of students who produce video work that appears on the NewsTribune.com, The News Tribune web presence. She also participates with KCNS News, and interns at KBTC, also known as PBS Tacoma.

MediaLab’s technology expert, Bryanna is a Communication major who is a talented videographer, video editor, photographer and writer. Among other accomplishments, Bryanna has produced video for the Washington News Council, The News Tribune, and has taken photos and written news articles that have appeared in PLU’s student newspaper, The Mast.

Having joined MediaLab in Fall 2008, Lorna is an intended Communication major interested in pursuing journalism as a career. Lorna has written previously for the The Mast and has volunteered at KCNS, PLU’s student-run television station.
Tyler Scott '10
Journalism
A senior communication major with an emphasis in Journalism, Tyler joined MediaLab in Fall 2009. Tyler has worked for three years as a reporter and columnist for PLU's student newspaper, The Mast, and also served as a Sports Information assistant for the PLU Athletic Department since 2007. He has done radio play-by-play for PLU’s baseball and softball teams and hosted a sports television show on KCNS, PLU's student television station. Tyler also spent two years as a Sports Dept. assistant for The News Tribune, and his work has been published in the Tacoma Weekly.
Kendra Steiner '10
Public Relations
Kendra is working towards a degree in Communication with an emphasis in public relations and advertising, as well as a degree in Religious Studies. Prior to joining MediaLab in the Fall of 2009, Kendra worked during Summer 2009 as a communication intern for the Kenai Convention & Visitors Bureau. In Spring 2009, she was selected to the first class of inductees to PLU’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the official honorary of the National Communication Association.

Jon is a senior Communication major whose primary role in is to cover high school sports for the The News Tribune's web presence. Jon joined MediaLab in Fall 2007.
Stuart Zaichkin '11
Public Relations & Image Director
Stuart oversees all of MediaLab's PR, Marketing and Advertising activities, both internally and externally. He is the chief organizer of MediaLab's Fall 2009 premiere event, and was a key planner of the May 2, 2009 "Hard Trade" event in Tacoma. In addition, Stuart has interned in public relations for Tacoma's Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, the YMCA of Tacoma-Pierce County, and worked in community outreach for Washington Conservation Voters in Seattle.

Andrea, a May 2008 PLU graduate who earned a B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in journalism, joined Newswatch 12, an Emmy winning ABC-TV affiliate located in Medford, Oregon. Prior to graduation, Andrea interned at KTVZ News Channel 21, in Bend, OR and KPTV Fox 12 Oregon, in Portland. Lauren, a Communication major whose focus is Public Relations, is also a skilled graphic designer and artist. In addition to being a MediaLab senior designer, Lauren previously interned at Tacoma’s Premier Media Group and is now works in marketing for Cascade Regional Blood Services where she is responsible for enhancing the organization’s brand and image.

Public Relations was the emphasis of Emilie's Communication degree. But her talents also stretch to include Videography, video editing and still photography. Emilie served as a member of MediaLab's student leadership council, led the 10-member video team, and was and award-winning editor and videographer on the "Illicit Exchanges" and "Building Connections" documentary projects.
Bre’ Greenman ’09
Marketing Team Leader
Business major Bre’ Greenman, who joined MediaLab in 2007, leads MediaLab’s marketing efforts. Most notably, in Spring 2008, Bre’ led an extensive market survey and research project for MediaLab client Cascade Regional Blood Services. The result was a comprehensive, 100-page spiral bound report that detailed the attitudes, beliefs and behaviors of current and potential blood donors. Bre’ is also co-leader of a team that will produce marketing, public relations and advertising materials for the annual Rainier to Ruston Walk/Run, which occurs annually every June.
Krista Gunstone '09
General Manager 2009
A Business and Communication double-major, Krista served as MediaLab's 2008-'09 student general manager. Under Krista's leadership, MediaLab won an Emmy Award, a National Broadcasting Society Award, a national Broadcast Education Association award, and advanced its work producing content for local businesses and media outlets, as well as organizing several high-profile public events. In addition to leading MediaLab, Krista also served as president of PLU's Chapter of the American Marketing Association. In May 2009, Krista accepted a marketing position in the Seattle corporate headquarters of Nordstrom.

, Journalism A member of MediaLab since his sophomore year, Nate has established a lengthy list of accomplishments. Currently, he is a multi-media intern at the Seattle Times. Nate has also freelanced for The Olympian, produced video and done voice-overs for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer website, done video work for The News Tribune, and was the recipient of a 2008 Washington Newspaper Publishers Association Scholarship, which resulted in a paid internship at the Puyallup Herald.

A switch-hitter, Tricia is a Communication major who joined MediaLab in Spring 2008. Tricia has interned at the Premier Media Group, for which she has written articles that appeared in 425 and South Sound magazines. Her writing also has been published in the Puyallup Herald. And she has interned in the promotions department of 94.1 KMPS-FM, a country format radio station in Seattle.

Jessica, a three-year member of MediaLab, graduated in May 2008 with a B.A. in Communication and soon landed a job as an apprentice production technician at TVW, Washington's Public Affairs Network. Prior to her position at TVW, Jessica interned for The News Tribune and did freelance photography for Tacoma Weekly. She also served as assistant general major of KCNS, PLU's student-run television station.

A Communication/French double-major at Pacific Lutheran University, Julie was a fixture on PLU's Dean's List. Julie held internships at Sterling Communications, the Office of the Canadian Consulate-General in Seattle, the Pierce County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the City of Kenmore, among others. Julie, the senior researcher on MediaLab's award-winning "Illicit Exchanges" documentary, now works as a marketing assistant for the City of Olympia, Washington.

Aislinn joined MediaLab in the Spring of 2008 and is the organization’s expert in the production of printed materials. Since Summer 2008, Aislinn has worked part-time at The Printer’s, Inc. of Enumclaw, Washington, a key MediaLab sponsor and exclusive printing partner.

Brittany, an Art major, is a lead designer for MediaLab who has previously produced work for the City of Tacoma’s Art at Work project. Brittany has also worked as the lead designer for Impact, PLU’s in-house production house.
Tove Claire Tupper '08
Broadcast Journalism
After graduating from PLU with a Communication degree in May 2008, Tove joined the staff of NewsWatch 12, an ABC News affiliate in Medford, Oregon. Tove, who interned at the station during the Summer of 2007, was a member of MediaLab and also highly active in student media, including the student-run TV station, KCNS. Tove also served as president of PLU's Society of Professional Journalist student chapter, which was named outstanding student chapter of the nation during her reign. While studying abroad in Norway, Tove also interned at a community newspaper in Elvrum, Norway, as well as an independent television production company based in Hamar.
