
Katie, who joined MediaLab as a first–year student in Spring 2010, is a Communication major whose emphasis is Journalism. Katie has served as coordinator of the monthly ITVS (PBS documentary) screenings, produced articles that appeared in Scene, PLU’s alumni magazine, written news stories for the Puyallup Herald and other South Sound newspapers, and interned at the Kitsap Sun, a Scripps Co. daily newspaper in Bremerton. In addition, Katie was a senior researcher and producer on “Overexposed,” MediaLab’s most recent documentary film. Katie became MediaLab’s General Manager in August 2011.

A business major with a concentration in marketing, Annika is particularly interested in market research, studying target demographics, exploring how well marketing efforts have reached the target demographics, and how to better reach markets. She was accepted into MediaLab Fall 2010. Prior to MediaLab, Annika worked as a marketing intern at the Williams’ Group, a small marketing and public relations firm in Olympia, Wash. Annika will intern as a PR Associate for the Puyallup Fair during Summer 2011.

An Anthropology major, Ted was accepted into MediaLab in Fall 2009. His work has appeared in numerous professional publications, including: The News Tribune, Norwegian American Weekly, the Burlington Argus, The Washington Newspaper, and the Skagit Valley Herald. Ted, former president of PLU’s award–winning student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, was promoted to Assistant General Manager in Summer 2011.
