The most recent production from the award–winning filmmakers of MediaLab is “Overexposed,” a new documentary about “compassion fatigue,” a condition that particularly affects those working in helping professions such as health care, social services and law enforcement. The new film, partially sponsored by the global relief organization, World Vision, premiered Oct. 8, 2011 in Seattle. A second public showing will occur on the campus of Pacific Lutheran University in early 2012. Please stay tuned for more details.

MediaLab's graphic designers, videographers, journalists and public relations associates are working with executives from Tacoma's KWA (previously known as the Korean Women's Association) to help reposition the company's brand in the marketplace. In existence for more than 30 years, KWA provides multi-cultural, multi-lingual social and human services to people in need.
Amtrak, the federal intercity railway corporation, and the states of Oregon and Washington, are working to improve rail service in the corridor called "Cascadia" extending from Vancouver, British Columbia to Salem, Oregon.
MediaLab researchers, in partnership with graduate students from Simon Fraser University, are digging into the environmental, social, cultural and economic effects of high-speed rail. MediaLab plans to report its findings in the production of a new documentary.
