Community Service

Community service: the use of one's talents and expertise for the betterment of community, environment and the world. Community is considered in the widest sense: the community in which one lives, works, and interacts.

Community service takes many forms:

bulletservice learning assignments provide academic credit and opportunities to assist service organizations with a level of expertise that they might not be able to afford
bulletservice to organizations on and off campus may provide leadership experience and exposure to ethnic and/or other minority groups which reflect the broader array of diversities of abilities, education, and socio-economic groups existing in society
