Ethical decision making is the ability to recognize the ethical conflicts inherent in managerial decision making situations, weigh the alternative costs and benefits of ethical choices and the impact of those choices on stakeholders, and select and justify appropriate courses of action. Ethical decision making presumes a significant level of professionalism, competence, integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality on the part of the decision maker.
